  • About Arta Energy
    Arta Energy Petrochemical Company, a subsidiary of Arta Industrial group, in order to expansion of Arta Industries and with the aim of completing the value chain of products and producing cellulose, MDF, HDF and chipboard products from the raw material of Methanol (and the production of required intermediate products such as formalin and industrial resins) has been established in Namin City in Ardabil province.
      One of the main aims of Arta Energy petrochemical is to produce different products and complete Arta Industrial Town with the production of required raw materials. Investing, construction and producing methanol by using high-tech equipment with a nameplate capacity of 140,000 MT/ Year alongside designing and producing the required utility services (Such as Demin water, steam, nitrogen, air, etc.…) in the 10-hectares area has been established.
    All project activities in different EPC sections, such as basic and detailed engineering of utility units as well as detailed engineering of process units, supplying of all equipment and items from the most reliable foreign and domestic brands, as well as installation of all equipment in the construction phase are done with diligence and engineers and specialists of Arta Industrial Group. Arta Energy as a leading green methanol producer in the country will apply the main important role in order to reduce the pollution in the environment.

    Methanol
    Methanol (CH3OH) is a simple one-carbon alcohol that is a colorless and tasteless liquid with a faint odor. Other names are Methyl-alcohol and Wood-alcohol. It is most commonly produced from natural gas but can also be derived from renewable bio- feedstocks and from coal through gasification.

    Storage and transportation:
    It can be stored and transported in carbon steel tanks with a suitable coating or stainless-steel tanks. Usually shipped via road by 25,000-liter tankers
    Application:
    - Production of all kinds of polymers by MTO technology
    - Production of formaldehydes (formalin) for production of resins
    - Production of M.T.B.E to improve the quality gasoline (fuels optimization)
    - Production of DME, dimethyl ether
    -Production of solvents and antifreeze
    - Production of acetic acid
    - production of acetates such as methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, etc.
    - Considering the foreseeable shortage of energy resources in the future, the direct consumption of methanol as a clean & green fuel or in the production of hydrogen for fuel cells is of great interest, which is known as one of the new uses of methanol.

    Formalin
    Formaldehyde is the simplest member of the group of aldehydes, which is derived from methanol and its chemical formula is CH2O. Although formaldehyde is a gas at room temperature, it dissolves well in water. Formaldehyde is usually sold in the form of a 37- 45% aqueous solution called formalin. Formaldehyde is polymerized in water and consists of small HCHO monomers connected together.

    Storage and transportation:
    It can be stored and used in stainless steel or carbon steel tanks with a suitable anti-corrosion coating and the ability to adjust the temperature of 42 to 45 degrees Celsius for one month (according to the concentration of formalin and the percentage of free methanol). Usually, it can be transported by 25,000 liter stainless steel tankers.
    Application:
    It is used as a precursor in many compounds:
    - Production of urea formaldehyde, melamine formaldehyde, phenol formaldehyde resins
    - It is also used in the production of chemicals such as pentaerythritol , hexamine, paraformaldehyde, MDI, etc.
    - Disinfectant solution (due to killing most of the bacteria)
    - To store biological samples
    - Also, formalin is used as a widely used substance in chemical and dye industries and as a disinfectant in hospitals, animal husbandry centers, polluted public places, sugar industry, sanitary detergents and other products.

    Liquid Urea Formaldehyde Resin
    Urea Formaldehyde Resin is a thermosetting resin that creates very high adhesion with cellulosic compounds.
    Appearance: viscous liquid
    Delivery: in bulk
    Storage and transportation: under proper storage conditions, it can be stored for up to one month. Transportation is done by 25,000 liter stainless steel tankers.
    Explanation: It is possible to produce a special product according to the customer's needs.
    Application:
    for use inside MDF sheets, chipboard and in combination with melamine formaldehyde resin in HDF and MDF

    Melamine Formaldehyde Resin
    With a transparent and resistant appearance, it is used for impregnating decorative papers to cover chipboard, HDF, MDF.
    Appearance: viscous liquid
    Delivery: in bulk
    Storage and transportation: It can be stored in isolated tanks, under control, away from light and heat and at a temperature of 45 degrees Celsius for 5 days. Transportation is done by 25,000 liter stainless steel tankers.
    Explanation: It is possible to produce a special product according to the customer's needs.
    Application: It is used for impregnating decorative papers to cover chipboard, HDF and MDF.
